ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Jahanshah ibn Qilich Arslan II, circa AH 620s / AD 1220s. Fals (Bronze, 23.5 mm, 2.45 g, 6 h), probably Erzurum (Theodosiopolis), AH 625 = AD 1228/9. Facing nimbate figure seated cross-legged on a high backed throne, placing his right hand on his knee and his left on chest. Rev. Legend in Kufic in three lines. Broome 109(i). Izmirlier 71. Rare and unusually attractive. Some deposits and with light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
